I haven't come across this trend, maybe because I avoid social media! I love your story though, its's very real and also very brave to face your past self and 'fess up! I wonder how many of those other stories are true, we all have ups and downs.
Brilliant writing! And you really kept me thinking for an entire week. It's crazy how the idea of a perfect life changes upon aging. It seems to me, even if you'd be in what seems currently like the "perfect life" your younger self would probably not like it. I am really okay with my current situation but I know my younger self from 10 or 15 years ago would be very irritated and just not understand current me...
This is very true — my younger self had such different ideas from Current Me that I think there would probably be very little I could do that wouldn’t disappoint her!
Loved reading this, by far the best and most realistic 'I met my younger self for coffee' interpretation I've read - brilliant.

Beautifully written. I adore your sense of humour.
So refreshing after all the other 'I met my younger self for a coffee' things I've seen. This is by far the best!
The honesty in this is beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
This is honestly terrific. I haven't come across this trend either (probs. late to the party) but I really enjoyed this. :)
